Back in home

Gosh, someone suggested me to delete this blog just because I'm not posting these few days. Lol....

Anyhow, I'm back in my humble home for the chinese new year holidays.

One of the nights, my brother came and asked me some additional maths questions. Well, I explained them to him, but he couldn't get the point. Furthermore, he kept asking questions that are somewhat 'irrelevant' like what for I count this, what is the use of this formula, and he kept asking questions which are from later part of the syllabus.

Well, it's not wrong to be inquisitive, but somewhat, I think he's too 'eager' or shall I say impatient to learn everything. He got some scolding from me, for not being able to understand the basics and start asking questions out of his capacity. Ok la, I felt a bit bad about it but, yeah, sometimes people need scolding.

Reflecting on a lot of people around me, this 'inquisitiveness' is all around me. A lot of us tend to be 'cocky' and thought we know a lot of stuff, and trying to seek those answers that is 'out of our capacity'. I'm not belittling any of our potential and capacity. But a lot of times we do forget our 'basics'.

Let's just do an excercise: List down your principles for your life, which is your basics. Yeah, list them out and write them on a piece of paper. Kinda tough isn't it? Proves that our basics are not that strong though.

So, everytime you wanna complain/blame about some happenings around you. Just take a small moment to pause and think before you start blurting out nonsense and make a fool out of yourself.

Now, the big question: Where, is your basics?
